Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 July 2026
1. What AdvisorCup is
AdvisorCup ("the Service", "we", "us") is a competitive assessment platform for financial advisors. It provides knowledge quizzes, situational-judgment questions, and simulated client conversations, and produces scores, rankings, and reports. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. What AdvisorCup is not
AdvisorCup is not a professional licence, regulatory qualification, or certification of fitness to provide financial advice. Scores and rankings measure performance in our assessments only. The Service does not provide financial, legal, or career advice, and content within assessments (including simulated client scenarios) is fictional and for evaluation purposes only.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information, including your real name. Aliases are not permitted on public leaderboards. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. Recruiter accounts are subject to review and may be approved, refused, or suspended at our discretion.
4. Assessment integrity
You agree not to: share, extract, or reproduce assessment questions, scenarios, or answer keys; use automated tools or third-party assistance during ranked attempts; attempt to manipulate scores, timers, or rankings; or misrepresent your identity or professional experience. We record integrity signals during attempts (such as tab switches and copy attempts) and may mark results as unverified or invalid, remove leaderboard entries, or suspend accounts for breaches.
5. Recordings and transcripts
Oral assessments involve a live voice conversation that is transcribed and evaluated. By starting an oral assessment you consent to this processing. Transcripts are used to score your attempt and produce feedback and reports as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Publication and recruiter sharing
Your results are private by default. Publishing to the leaderboard, creating a public achievement page, enabling recruiter discovery, and registering through a recruiter's referral link are each optional choices that share defined information as described at the point of choice and in the Privacy Policy. You can withdraw leaderboard publication at any time.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including all assessment content, scoring methodology, and software, is our property or licensed to us. You retain no rights in assessment content. You may share your own public achievement page and results.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting unauthorized access, scraping data, harvesting other users' information, or using candidate information (for recruiters) outside legitimate recruitment purposes and applicable law.
9. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, recalculate scores to correct defects, and update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the Service; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of opportunity (including employment outcomes), or decisions made by recruiters or employers based on assessment results. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. Sections concerning intellectual property, liability, and data continue after termination.
